Citadel Products

products_imageThe commercial philosophy of the Citadel Group has evolved over 30 years to meet market demands.

It currently:

  • offers run-off solutions to companies seeking to dispose of discontinued lines of business.
  • enables companies seeking to wind up their entire business to accelerate that process by assignment or novation of all assets and liabilities, using the expertise in due dligence review, claims valuation and contract negotiation offered by Citadel Risk Management, Inc. Citadel specializes in small to medium-sized entities and portfolios (particularly captives and risk retention groups), with liabilities starting at $200,000.
  • specializes in engineering and implementing cost-effective, original insurance and reinsurance solutions to financial reporting issues that arise for economically sound and well-regarded entities (principally other insurance companies).
  • carefully engineers each such transaction so that the Citadel Group is left with a matched asset and liability position on a risk-by-risk basis.
  • fully secures the liability of each policyholder in respect of each transaction, in the course of which it has established significant credit enhancement facilities with major banks in both America and London, including Citigroup, Barclays Bank, the Royal Bank of Scotland and Comerica.
  • has a sound record of returning attractive dividends to shareholders, totalling over $38 million in the last 15 years.
  • is supported by a team of highly-experienced and dedicated staff in the USA, the United Kingdom and Bermuda whose individual knowledge of each transaction provides the highest level of service.
  • provides traditional risk-transferring quota share and excess of loss reinsurance to the self-insurance industry, especially to captives and risk retention groups, including start up operations.

The Citadel Group's governing rule is to develop strategies that meet accounting and regulatory guidelines. Risk transfer and accounting principles are followed strictly, and in its long history Citadel has had not a single adverse regulatory finding.

In everything it does Citadel is able to call whenever necessary on the unequalled knowledge and experience of its wholly-owned subsidiary, Citadel Risk Management, Inc. ("CRMI"). CRMI also offers an expert independent range of services relating to all aspects of due diligence, audits and inspections, claims management, run-off consultation, commutations and litigation.
